In my opinion this is the greatest comedy bit ever. Rowan Atkinson ‘plays’ the piano in the manner of a cartoon character. This was a part of Amnesty International’s ‘The Secret Policeman’s Ball’ filmed in 1979, and also starring John Cleese, Billy Connoly, Michael Palin, Peter Cook and many more. FAQ: What piece of music does he ‘play’? The answer is Beethoven’s ”Pathetique” and ”Moonlight sonata”.

@amirghanipour I bet he can really play the music… He can memorize the movements and play accordingly without the help of an instrument. That is rather clever.

i cant believe someone made an animation based on a boing boing article. this has to be one of the best animations i have ever seen. animationwise, artwise, the fact it got NICK CAVE to narrate it. the poem was written very well, the rythm of it, the music of it, the choice of colours and character design. this thing is GENIUS

@Oremir Your correct. However, the “Cat Piano” was a simple book. Involving horses and wolves, and dogs to dance to the music, You can see where Im going with this… The “Cat Piano” was never a real instrument. But humble fiction.
